Dispatch Boulder: Halloween Hike & Night Out

I spent the day yesterday hiking an "in town" trail called Mt. Sanitas and boy, as my friend calls it, it's a lung buster!  Straight up stair climbing.  Not ashamed to admit I had to stop several times to catch my breath.  And take pictures.

As I was heading out of the park and back to the car, this field of dying grass caught my eye. Just look at the golden brillance shining bright from the sunlight.  It literally stopped me in my tracks it was so beautiful.  I took several shots trying to capture the true colors but as in most cases, the human eye can never be matched by the camera.

Later in the afternoon my friend Catherine and I met to have our toes painted at Ten20.  She had given me a gift certificate for my birthday, and we decided to make it a Halloween toes party and then hit Pearl Street for dinner and to watch the costumed peeps walk up and down the strip.
